Arcade Block September

The Legend of Zelda has been hyped for this block all month.  Let's see how they did.

Lewt!

Exclusive Canvas The Hero's Triumph

Artist Russ Moore created this beautiful scene on canvas.  I like it. A lot.

Exclusive Key Chain: The Hero's Shield

At first, I was disappointed it's a keychain.  Then I get excited because it can be removed from the keyring and used as a pendant.

Exclusive Springz Chicken

Definitely not using this on my dashboard but it will find a place in my collection.

Exclusive Galak-Z 7" Record

Collectible record.  Pretty sure not very many looters will even know what a record is let alone have a record player on hand to use this.  Would have preferred the game instead.  Turntable coupon in box.

5" Goomba and Boo Plush*

I only got one so I assume the 'and' was a misprint for 'or'.  I pulled the Goomba.  Would not have minded so much that a Mario item was in this block if I got Boo but hey, it is what it is.

Exclusive Wind Walker Tee

I'm not overly excited by this tee but I'm also not super disappointed either.

This block was almost a full Legend of Zelda box with the exception of the plush and that bizarre record.  I wasn't crazy about the tee either but the other items I do enjoy.

MORE October Sub Box Themes

This time of year is my absolute favourite.  It's hoodie weather and Halloween is right around the corner unless you live in Australia.  We are gearing up for summer but my excitement will not be hindered!  Some of my favourite sub boxes are also getting into the spirit and I couldn't be more excited.

Nerd Block Classic has given out one hint; there will be two vinyl figures in the upcoming block.

EDIT: Jem and the Holograms will have an exclusive item in this month's block.  Also, a Gremlins item has been hinted at.  I sincerely hope it isn't the Gizmo plush from last October's Horror Block.  The two vinyls figures haven been confirmed as an Aliens item .  I'm convinced this will be the 2-pack from Septembers Horror Block but can't say for sure.

Arcade Block hints at an officially licensed FALLOUT item.  Retro City Rampage DX, Atari, and Black Ops III is also included in this block.

Horror Block is hinting at a Child's Play Chuckie item as well as 'another guest that can only come inside if invited'

Supergeekbox is a new sub for me.  Found them while browsing Twitter and I have to say I am extremely excited for October.  First month is incredibly cheap (9$) if you would like to give them a try.  Their theme is CHAOS with the preview showing Jack Skellington, Venom (squeeee) and The Joker!  Hints at a jumbo scale geek/gamer item as well as a new Funko item that the world has never seen.  Super stoked to see what's in this box!

supergeekbox.com

1up Box hasn't released any hints for October yet but I am sure there are good things in store.
EDIT: The theme has been announced as NIGHTMARE.  Excitement increased!

Marvel Collector Corps went with VILLAINS for October and I almost jumped off my seat when I saw it.  VENOM is on the box (squeee) and there were claims on Twitter that there was going to be a one of a kind Pop! in this box-no recolours!  Cannot wait for this box.

collectorcorps.com

Herocrate launched its VILLAIN CRATE earlier this month.  It, like the Marvel Collector Corps, is a bi-monthly sub box with an introductory low price (19.99$).  The theme for October is DEADPOOL who I am super excited to see headlining a box on his own.

herocrate.com/villains

Lootcrate hasn't updated their October theme possibly due to the shipping blunder they had with September's crate.  Add to the fact they and Bethesda announced the much anticipated FALLOUT 4 Crate for sale follwed by the invariable shitstorm fail of an ordering process they were somehow not prepared for.  Hopefully though, they can pull themselves up by their bootstraps and pull off a helluva great October crate.

EDIT: Theme is TIME with teaser hints for Back to the Future, Doctor Who, Bill and Ted and more.

Collectible Geek went back to horror roots for October's theme, UNIVERSAL MONSTERS.  All the black and white monster swag you can handle!

Exclusive Night of the Living Dead DVD

This is the original black and white Romero classic.  Great addition to any horror movie enthusiasts collection.

Barbra!

Rue Morgue Magazine

Standard with every Horror Block.  The history of the Ouija Board is a damn fine read.

Are you there Ghoulia?

Exclusive Horror Face Coaster Set

Arrrrggggghhhh! Coasters!  They are pretty gnarly though.  There is a notch at the top for your nose so you can 'wear' these as a creepy ass mouth.

Do I have something in my teeth?

Exclusive Night of the Living Dead Magnet Set

This magnet set includes iconic phrases from Night of the Living Dead.  I like adding these to my ever-growing collection of magnetic poetry.

I'm the Boss up here

Exclusive Aliens 2-Pack Vinyl Figures

Titans Vinyl is quickly becoming a favourite of mine.  The quality of their vinyls is amazing.  This 2-pack features Bloody Parker and Bloody Xenomorph.

Cute but deadly

!  Concerned for the October Nerd Block Classic loot.  Their teaser for October claims a 2-pack vinyl and I sincerely hope this is not that 2-pack.

Loot Crate 'FALLOUT 4' Crate

It somehow came as a shock to looters and Loot Crate that the FALLOUT Crate sale on 23 September ran into a whole mess of problems as looters were placing orders.  It should come as no surprise that later in the evening, the crate was sold out.

the Vault door is closed

Loot Crate issued an apology e-mail and they are diligently working out the 15k support tickets in progress.  Hopefully this will be taken as a learning example so they same issue doesn't arise when the MASS EFFECT Crate gets announced.

Tales from the Trade Off Bin

The Trade-Off Bin said goodbye to a mini Castiel figure as well as a Ironman Keychain.

In exchange I received a Kidrobot Mega Man mini!  How stinkin' cool is that aye?

Cheers Jazzy Jinx for the exchange.  I hope you enjoy your collectibles as much as I ♥ mine!

1UP September 'Pixels'

Had some reservations about this months theme but I am beyond ecstatic that lewt from the movie Pixels was not included.

Lewt Time!

8-Bit Bowtie:  It's adorable.  Can also be used as a headband if that is your fancy.

I like to be formal while I game

8-bit Stickers:  These are super fun.  As soon as I saw them in the box, my mind started racing with ideas.

Loot Crate September 'Summon'

It has arrived without warning or e-mail.  Cheers Loot Crate!

Lewt Time!

Exclusive Supernatural 1967 Chevy Impala

Diecast replica of Dean's ride.  I have seen this diecast elsewhere however this exclusive has Kansas plates.  The other versions have the Ohio license plate.  I think it's a nice collectible as long as it stays in the package.

Dean not included :(

Kidrobot Homer Simpson Golden Buddha

Golden guru of gluttony, need I say more?

Golden donut make Homer hungry

Bioworld Pokemon Laplander Hat

I am actually excited for this one.  My panda laplander has finally bit the dust and this Pikachu replacement is a fine choice.

Blizzard is putting on some pretty big pants next month.  Inside the LC magazine, there is a special edition crate advert.  Rebels and Rogues 2.0.  Hopefully this is a unique crate and not an 'inventory' crate.

Nerd Block Classic 'Hyperspace'

This block came incredibly fast this month.  No complaints here.  Let's see what this block has in store.

Lewt time!

Short and sweet this month

Exclusive Shirtpunch Tee "By Your Command"
This mash-up shows how Cylons have changed over time.  Can make out many different faces in this tee?  Definite keeper.

Did anyone else see Bender from Futurama?

Funko Supernatural Mystery Mini
Supernatural does not even come close to the HYPERSPACE theme but it is a mystery mini!

maybe it's the eyes that creeps me out

Jurassic Galaxy
According to the loot card, artist Time Doyle created this mash-up of Guardians of the Galaxy, Jurassic World, Star Wars, and Terminator.  Aside from the very small nod to Star Wars, I'm not sure how this fits into the HYPERSPACE theme.  This print is cool nonetheless.

Chris Pratt would be proud

Exclusive Springz U.S.S. Enterprise
This is one of those dashboard gizmos with the sticky bottom that instantly melts into whatever surface it is attached to.  I have no intention of using it for my dashboard but it would look cool on one of my shelves.

Springz me up Scotty!

Star Wars: The Force Awakens BB-8 Plush
I saw the BB-8 Android and it's cute but the price tag was unsettling.  This plush is weighted so that it sits upright and in my opinion, cuter than the droid.

beep boop

Final Verdict

The theme this month is HYPERSPACE and the majority of the items were spot on.  There was a lot of hype about Star Wars: The Force Awakens and don't get me wrong the BB-8 plush is nice but that is it for the Star Wars loot.  The inclusion of the Supernatural and Jurassic World print seemed to be an afterthought albeit nice loot.

Next month is October and my favourite time of year.  I am so super stoked for Halloween and even more excited for what the sub boxes have in store next month!
