Bring Back The Box!
Tom Happ's Axiom Verge headlines this month. AV is an action-adventure game along the vein of 'Metroidvania'. I haven't been able to put down Fallout 4 so I will have to give this game a go as soon as my Wasteland hype subsides.
What's in the box???
USB cartridge
Contains Axiom Verge for Windows, Mac or Linux. DRM free in a nifty case.
Instruction Manual
Makes navigating Sudra slightly easier (Sudra is massive from what I've seen)
IndieBox Decal
Show off your indie support!
Axiom Verge Soundtrack
Will have to give a listen. Tunes to accompany game play are always a plus in my book
Elsenova Bookend
A custom bookend. It has a bit of weight, the bulk being in Elsenova's moulded head. There are two parts-base and stand- that seat together. They do not secure together (doesn't snap or lock into place) so exercise caution when handling the two as a unit. Attractive bookend nevertheless.
Axiom Verge Decal
Show off your AV support!
Axiom Verge Map Poster
Massive map, massive game experience to be had.
IndieBox Newsletter
The oft discarded insert that details the contents of the box, game developer and other tidbits.
Final Verdict: For 20$, IndieBox really is a steal. You get a DRM copy as well as a Steam copy if you are so inclined to share. The extras are a very nice addition to any collector and lover of indie games. The bookend is superbly crafted that looks great on display. I watched some game play of AV and it looks amazing.
