Marvel Collector Corps Ant-Man

I missed the Avengers box with the Iron Man Hulkbuster (internal sobbing intensifies) but I made it just in time for the Ant-Man box!

The Box is a Comic!
Before you open the box, there is a patch and pin.  I am not a fan of patches or pins but I decided to keep these anyway because it is freaking Ant-Man!

I thought the shirt was absolutely clever.  Simple Marvel Ant-Man logo and a tiny little Ant-Man.  Did not let my housemates even know I ordered this box so they couldn't call dibs on my shirt.  The exclusive pop is Ant-Man unmasked that includes the world's tiniest bobble head- a super tiny bobbler.  Mine came loose during shipping and does not bobble but I adore him nonetheless.  There are two mystery boxes within a mystery box!  These are heaps of fun to open...unless you get two of the same.

mystery box-ception?
I got the Ant-Man original and Black Out variant.  Hell yes to that!

This box wouldn't be complete without a comic box.  It is the Ant-Man 005 Variant and I am a huge fan of comics.   So much win.

the best things come in small packages

Final Verdict

Hell YES.  All day HELL YES.  This box was absolutely fantastic.  The theme was Ant-Man and it delivered.  I am beyond happy with CC.

Edit: A recent Lootcrate scene box now serves as a display for the small Army of Ant-Man I have.

1up Box: Arcade

The theme this month is Arcade! I was excited for this box because much of my youth was spent in an arcade.  Many quarters were lost to the Arcade Gods.

Street Fighter was a staple fighting game for any arcade.  The 1v1 fighting style, the erratic button mashing, the audio (Haduken!).  It was a great game that I have some fond memories of.

Street Fighter Bobble Buddies: There are 1 of 8 bobblers that could be in the box.  I got Ken who was not my preferred choice in the game but cool looking nonetheless.  He will find a place on my display.

My cam is a spud, the bobbler is actually coloured

Pac Man, geez oh man does that take me back.  The perpetually annoying 'waka waka' noise as you controlled the yellow ball eater.  Good times!

The tin is an arcade machine replica is pretty detailed and looks great on display.  The affront to candy inside however is disgusting.  Flavoured chalk that I passed off to my nephew while the tin resides on my desk.
waka waka

The Spider-Man zipper pull: eh.  I'm not a big fan of the danglers and pulls.  I either break them, lose, them or they get stolen.  Not sure how Spider-Man fit into the arcade theme but he is boss.  Unfortunately this will be going to the trade-off bin.

The Arcade Decal:  Pretty neat epoxy sticker with Space Invaders on the screen.  My housemate has claimed it for his CPU tower.

Space Aliens Lanyard: Lanyard's are one of those things that get put into these boxes, passed out at conventions and concerts but I have no real use for them other than display.

Quarters! Precious Quarters!

Fight Fight Revolution Tee:  Pretty freaking awesome design.  Kawaii Ryu with happy feet, need I say more?  I am not a DDR fan by no stretch of the imagination but this tee is totally adorbs.

dance, dance

The reverse of the items preview has a pretty neat image that I intend to use for display.  Ryu vs Pac Man, it's a no brainer...

Final Verdict

The Arcade block delivered.  With the exception of the zipper pull, everything in this box was awesome.  1up is quickly becoming one of my favourite sub boxes.  For the small price of 9.92$ (with coupon AWESOME from the site) I couldn't pass it up.

Next month's theme is JUSTICE.  I'm excited to see what pops up in the next box.
